Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 September 2026

Your privacy is important to us. At Sikelia Labs, we have a few fundamental principles:

  • We don't ask for personal information unless we truly need it.
  • We don't share your personal information with anyone, except to comply with the law, develop our products or protect our rights.

1. Data Controller

Marco Strano, operating under the project and editorial name Sikelia Labs.
Sikelia Labs is the project and editorial name used to publish and manage the projects presented on this website and is not a separate company or legal entity.

2. What data we collect and why

Our website is purely informational. We don't require registration. We only collect:

  • Browsing data (Google Analytics 4): collected only after explicit Analytics consent to understand visits and page usage statistically.
  • Security and delivery data: we use Cloudflare to protect the site, deliver content and handle technical traffic.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics / RUM: when enabled at Cloudflare level, it measures aggregate page usage and real-world browser performance. It is separate from the Google Analytics choice in the banner.
  • Voluntarily provided data: If you choose to email us, we will keep your address only for as long as necessary to respond.

3. Cookies and Third-Party Services

Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device. We use them exclusively through third-party services for the following purposes:

  • Cloudflare infrastructure: may use technical mechanisms needed for security, availability and delivery. This processing is separate from Cloudflare Web Analytics/RUM.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics / RUM: Cloudflare documents that Web Analytics does not use cookies or localStorage for these metrics, does not fingerprint individual visitors, and does not log URL query strings. Cloudflare describes the service as designed not to collect or use visitors' personal data.
  • Google Analytics 4: is loaded only after explicit Analytics consent. The banner preference controls Google Analytics 4, not Cloudflare Web Analytics/RUM.

3a. Privacy on our new web apps

Our Typing Speed and Cinematic Terminal microsites use Cloudflare Pages for hosting and security, cookie-free Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregated traffic statistics, and Cloudflare Zaraz for optional analytics only after explicit consent. Refusal does not restrict any features and consent can be withdrawn through each microsite footer.

Our optional custom Zaraz event includes only the public app identifier and language; it does not include typed text, terminal contents or personal results. Your choice is stored in localStorage for that microsite (sikelia_optional_analytics_consent_v1). Cloudflare may process technical connection data for delivery and security. The linked microsite notices are available in twelve languages.

Optional Cloudflare Zaraz statistics

On this corporate website Cloudflare Zaraz loads only after explicit Analytics consent. The script at /cdn-cgi/zaraz/i.js may process technical navigation data and configured statistical events. We do not send typed personal content or private product results. Cloudflare Web Analytics/RUM is separate and this does not install a second Google Analytics 4 instance.

Consent can be declined or changed via the footer preferences without limiting site functions. Already transmitted events cannot be withdrawn retroactively.

4. Your rights (GDPR)

If you reside in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to:

  • Access your data (e.g. if you have sent us an email).
  • Request correction or deletion.
  • Object to processing or request its limitation.

To exercise these rights, write to privacy@sikelialabs.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant Data Protection Authority.

Internal SEO Intelligence and Google Ads API

Authorized operators may use Google Ads API to consult keyword ideas and aggregate search metrics for internal SEO research. OAuth access is granted voluntarily by the owner of the connected Google account. GumCLI stores the credentials and tokens locally in the macOS Keychain; they are not sold or published on this site. Website visitors are not asked to connect their Google accounts.

5. Data transfers

Providers may operate in countries other than the user's country. Cloudflare and Google apply their respective privacy documentation and, where a personal-data transfer is subject to specific requirements, the mechanisms provided by applicable law and the relevant provider are used.
